Introduction

IASOWA Haryana is a sister hood of women of substance who join hands on many meaningful issues.

At the organisational apex is the president HIWA who is the incumbent Chief Secretary or the wife of a Chief Secretary. The President, HIWA sets guidelines and gives impetus at the highest level. The Executive committee comprises members who are office bearers responsible for different activities and aspects of HIWA. IASOWA Haryana is a strong group of 110 members at present.

Apart from the regular meetings of the Association, the members come together every now and then with the objective of helping the weaker and deprived sections of the society.

It is with anticipation and excitement, laced with a little bit of trepidation, that I welcome the launch of the HIWA website today. In today’s world technology holds the biggest power to influence minds. Hence we adopt technology to serve the multifarious activities of our Association. I am hoping that this website will provide the means to connect better among ourselves and with the world in general, to find and share matters of mutual interest and will be a channel for the members’ creative energies. I have no doubt that this will be one of the important tools, in the years to come, for the association to launch into newer and more meaningful activities.
